Marked on the bottom with: Kurz en Co, Tiel Holland.
The company was founded in 1896 by Coen Kurz, who had already gained experience at the Daalderop company, also based in Tiel. It was originally called C. Kurz & Co., Netherlands. Gradually, copper and gold-plated ornaments also began to be produced.
